Telesign, a Proximus Global company and a leader in digital identity and programmable communications, is expanding its global collaboration with Microsoft to become a key authentication provider on the Microsoft Security Store.
The announcement comes as Microsoft continues its migration toward passkeys as the default authentication method. Customers that wish to continue using SMS, One-Time Passwords, or voice authentication within Microsoft Entra ID will need to select a third-party provider through the Microsoft Security Store ahead of 1st February 2027.
Building on a 13-year relationship between the two companies, Telesign’s authentication solution is available through the Microsoft Security Store. Telesign integrates with Microsoft Entra ID, allowing organizations to continue using SMS and voice-based authentication without disruption. Available as a transactional offer in the Microsoft Security Store, the solution can be purchased directly through Microsoft Security Store and billed through customers’ existing Azure invoices, helping organizations maintain security continuity with minimal operational overhead.
This is particularly important because most organizations are not prepared to turn to passkeys yet. Adoption remains uneven due to varying infrastructure readiness and regional regulations around the world. By combining Telesign’s omnichannel verification coverage with Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure, the integration will help thousands of customers globally.
Gregor Potocar, President of Protect & Engage, Telesign, said: “This integration perfectly combines Telesign’s authentication expertise with Microsoft’s leading security ecosystem. If you are a business customer who isn’t ready to switch to passkeys just yet, we’ve got you covered. As authentication requirements evolve, many partners still need flexibility. With Telesign’s Microsoft Security Store offering, they have complete freedom to choose whatever global verification process suits them.”
Businesses that want to maintain traditional verification methods, or offer hybrid authentication choices, will be able to transition to Telesign’s global network without disruption.
Ankur Patel, Partner Product Manager, Microsoft Security at Microsoft, added: “Security continuity is key to our ecosystem. As we evolve our authentication practices, we want customers to have clear options that meet their business needs. Telesign’s integration with Entra ID gives customers access to verification options as their requirements evolve.”
