WEST VALLEY, UT, UNITED STATES, October 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — The Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center (SLVECC) today announced a new partnership with TowPro, a cloud-based towing dispatch platform, to modernize how non-emergency vehicle tows are managed across the Salt Lake Valley.

Each year, SLVECC dispatchers process thousands of vehicle tow requests. The work is necessary, but it pulls trained emergency dispatchers away from their core mission: answering 911 calls and coordinating life-saving response. By shifting tow coordination to TowPro’s automated dispatch system, SLVECC will free up dispatcher time and attention for emergency calls, giving Salt Lake Valley residents faster, more reliable access to emergency services when it matters most.

TowPro’s platform automatically matches available, compliant tow operators to each job based on location and equipment. It provides real-time tracking from dispatch to on-scene arrival and centralizes compliance documentation so operators remain in good standing around the clock. For SLVECC, this means non-emergency tow requests can be routed and managed with greater speed and transparency.

“Every minute our dispatchers spend processing a routine tow is a minute they are not fully focused on the next 911 call,” said Elyse Haggerty, Chief of Operations of the Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center. “This partnership lets us do what we do best, protect and serve this community in its most urgent moments, while trusting a purpose-built platform to handle tow logistics efficiently and transparently.”

“We built TowPro to bring clarity and fairness to an industry that has long relied on outdated, manual processes,” said Julie Edwards, CEO of TowPro. “Partnering with SLVECC allows us to put that technology to work in service of public safety. We are proud to help a dispatch center redirect its people toward saving lives while our platform takes care of the rest.”

The partnership is expected to reduce the administrative burden on SLVECC’s emergency dispatch staff, improve response times for both emergency and non-emergency callers, and increase transparency for towing companies operating in the valley. SLVECC anticipates the transition to TowPro’s platform will be complete in the coming months, and dispatcher training is already underway.
